Ann Fonte began her dance career at the age of three jumping off the couch pretending to be Wendy from Peter Pan. Because she never sat still and would “fly” around the house, Ann’s mom signed her up for dance lessons. After starting her training at the local dance school, Ann eventually found her way downtown to Harriet Hoctor in the Fenway and The Boston Ballet School. From then on, Ann never stopped dancing. She has had the great fortune of dancing with several area choreographers such as Susan Rose and Danceworks, Dinosaur Dance Company, Dance Collective, Lynn Modell, Rozann Kraus, Weber Dance, Tony Williams and others. Ann is also a founding member of Peter DiMuro’s Performance Associates which over the years has become Peter DiMuro/Public Displays of Motion. When not dancing, Ann is a body worker of the GYROTONIC and GYROKINESIS methods of body conditioning and is currently a student at Lesley University.
