Heidi Henderson, both in NYC and as the costumer for the Dance Department of Connecticut College, has created costumes for amazing dances by: Bebe Miller, Kyle Abraham, Gabri Christa, Sungsoo Ann, Terry Creach, Neo Labos, Lisa Race, Adele Myers, David Dorfman, Monica Bill Barnes and others. When she was a dancer in NYC, she paid the rent by sewing for Penny Babel Couture. She is a Professor of Dance at Connecticut College teaching modern, improvisation, anatomy, writing and choreography. She makes dances for her pick up company: elephant JANE dance. Heidi has sewn, repurposed, and repurposed again a multitude of costume elements for PDM for performances at The Hatch Shell on the Esplanade, Jacob's Pillow, and more. All designs worn by company in The House of Accumulated Beauties are the imaginings of Heidi!
